Arianna and Esteban’s maternity session at the UC Davis Arboretum was a beautiful reunion and a celebration of the various milestones we’ve captured together. Former neighbors when I lived in San Luis Obispo from 2020 to 2022, I had the honor of photographing their bridal portraits after they tied the knot at the courthouse with their closest friends and family. A year later, they made the journey from San Luis Obispo to Sacramento, eager to have me capture this next chapter in their lives.

The UC Davis Arboretum, with its enchanting redwoods, served as the perfect backdrop for this intimate maternity shoot. The towering trees provided a serene and majestic atmosphere, complementing the beauty of Arianna’s pregnancy glow.

For the session, Arianna chose two stunning dresses that accentuated her baby bump. The first, a blue maxi dress, added a touch of elegance, while the second, a boho white flowy dress, beautifully highlighted the joyous anticipation of their growing family. Against the natural beauty of the arboretum, each frame told the story of love, new beginnings, and the excitement of parenthood.

The session was not just a photography session; it was a heartwarming reunion and a continuation of our photographic journey together. The joy and connection we had previously captured during their elopement photos now evolved into a celebration of the impending arrival of their little one.
