I'm so happy you're here! My name's Alyssa, and I'm based in Sacramento California, serving all of Northern CA and beyond. 7 years ago, I photographed my first ever wedding for my cousin in the Bay Area. From that moment on, I knew this was my calling. Nearly 200 weddings later, I'm so grateful to call this my dream career! I enjoy documenting experiences, moments, and memories to the fullest extent.
I'm a lover of film photography, super 8, reality tv, romcoms, sunsets, roadtrips to the beach, and my 6 year old corgi, Georgie.

What is the booking process?

Head on over to my contact page, kindly fill out the form, and I'll be in touch within 48 hours. To book, I require a signed contract + 50% non-refundable retainer. The remaining 50% is due 1 month before for weddings, or 1 week before for sessions!

No, I do not release any RAW/unedited photos. I only deliver my finished work, which are high-resolution edited images.

I will give you different prompts (instead of stiff, awkward poses) that will allow you to feel confident, comfortable, and most importantly natural, by evoking genuine emotions to capture in your photos! I never ever expect anyone to know how to pose!

HOW DO YOU BACK UP OUR PHOTOS?

I back up all my photos onto 2 portable SSD hard drives, (which are super reliable since there's no moving parts). Additionally, I back up to 2 SD cards while shooting. I keep the photos on the SD cards until the full gallery is delivered, so technically, your photos are backed up to 4 spots! If you add-on a second shooter, that is another form of back-up. But try not to worry–I have plenty of ways of backing up your photos :)

can we SEND you a shot list?

The only list that I'll have is your timeline & a family names list. I do not work off a shot list because my approach is to capture your day authentically + candidly. Each wedding day is so unique. I like to be in the moment & photograph your day as it happens. Having a list would constrain me to only capture those certain things on the list and possibly miss out on something happening in real time!

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU DELIIVER?

I deliver 50-100 edited photos per hour, so for an 8 hour wedding, you can expect anywhere from 400-800 images. Examples of photos I don't send are duplicates, blurry shots, or if someone's blinking. Don’t worry, you’ll get all of the good ones :))

What is your turn-around time?

8-10 weeks for weddings; 3 weeks for sessions. I’ll send you sneak peeks within 1 week from your session/wedding date.
If you love film, authenticity, candid moments, & a documentary style, then we'll get along! When it comes to my shooting style, nothing is too posed or staged. I will give you direction of course, as I never expect people to know how to pose. I’m constantly shooting to capture those in-between moments, which often times ends up being my favorite photos because they are the most genuine. I love capturing who you authentically are so you and your loved ones can look back at these photos for generations to come.
I value an amazing client experience. I'm not just going to show up to your wedding knowing nothing about you, take some photos, and then go home. I will be with you every step of the way from start to finish. I enjoy the entire process of planning your engagement session, helping to create your wedding timeline, setting up phone calls & sending you questionnaires to get to know you more as a couple, so you feel super comfy with me even before stepping in front of the camera.
